This is one of my favorite songs of all time.  Nirvana’s cover of it is called “Where Did You Sleep Last Night?” but it also goes by “In the Pines” and “Black Girl.”  It’s an old song that’s been around since the mid-to-late 1800’s.

I love this clip because Kurt Cobain starts to zone out and gets lost in the music, then around the 4:40 mark he opens his eyes and you can see a look of intensity in them and then he goes back into the music.  To me, it’s an incredible moment.  It happens very quickly but knowing his story it really makes me wonder what was going on in his head at that exact moment, if anything at all.

Music.  He was also one of the main contributors to Kanye’s newest album, 808s and Heartbreak (you can check him out on the hook of one of my favorite songs).  You can also check out his underground hit record, Day and Night, in the video below.  BE WARNED - it’s super catchy!
