I went to the Linkin Park Projekt Revolution show Sunday night in Indianapolis & I was impressed! I’m a fan of the band and I especially like their last album (Minutes to Midnight produced by Rick Rubin) & their project with Jay-Z, but it’s the first time I’ve seen them live.

Their energy was insane!! From start to finish, Chester was jumping around & screaming (in a good way). The band killed it and the fans loved it. I’m starting to wonder, really, is there anything more fun than a great live show?

Sidebar: Chris Cornell also played & I forgot how much I liked this song until I heard it again.

Seriously though… Eazy-E was my first favorite rapper. I vividly remember when a friend up the street introduced me to his music, along with N.W.A. It’s when I first fell in love with hip hop. This was back when I had to hide the tapes (ya tapes) from my mom & try to come up with logical explanations of why they were positive role models for me:-)

Unfortunately, he passed away way too soon (it would have been great to see him & Dr. Dre squash their beef & make music together again). However, the company he founded, Ruthless Records is still running strong and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year… so big ups to them & Eazy’s wife for keeping the ship afloat!!

Jay-Z talks on the Tavis Smiley show about how Rocawear, a company that now has annual sales of $700 million, was started with 3 sewing machines and a credit card hook-up… this is great stuff.
