My Thoughts On Street Cred
So many rappers and fans get caught up on street cred. I could care less about my street cred. I rap because I love to rap and I love to make music. It’s the art and the creativity that excite me, not molding some thuggish image.
I don’t care if people think I’m hard or not. Whether they do or don’t, I’ll be able to sleep well at night. In fact, I would rather make a song that my little nephews could listen to than I would a song that would make the most thuggish dude on the planet respect me.
My credibility comes from the fact that I’m a real artist who expresses himself and is completely obsessed with making the best music possible and taking my art and creativity to new levels. I’m also not afraid to speak from the heart. I “keep it real” because I am exactly who I am and I’m cool with that. I’m comfy in my own skin. I wear it like the latest fall trends.
