Unemployed
This is the first of a few “catch up” posts I’m going to be putting up to bring people up to speed on what’s been going on with me. Also, I just updated my “about” page and added a “music” page to this site, so you can check those out too, if you’d like.
Anyways, earlier on this year, I linked up with a high school classmate, Parker Sawyers, and a childhood friend, Michael “Kiko” McNeil, to form the production and songwriting team called Unemployed. The name Unemployed stems from the fact that we want to make music for a living and if we can do that then we won’t have to “work” another day in our lives.
What I think makes Unemployed unique is that we all have talents in different areas and we compliment each other extremely well. Also, we’re dead set on getting the best end result and making the best music we can, so no egos come into play when we’re collaborating.
Every one of us has a really broad appreciation for music and listens to a bunch of stuff, and we draw on influences from different types of music to create our style and sound.
It’s pretty exciting to look at how short a time span we’ve been working together and the amount of material we’ve made since we started. Also, the growth we’ve seen as a team is pretty reassuring. I can’t wait to see what kind of music we can make together as we all continue to grow, individually as artists, and collectively as a team. We want to do group albums together, and also work with other artists as a team. We already have a lot of ideas that aren’t right for the moment that we could see using for certain other types of artists, whether established or up-and-coming. Right now, we’re just trying to get started and get our music out there to see what people think about it.

I always like to stop by and see how things are going with you. Great picture of the three of you. Happy early Thanksgiving. Can’t wait to see where this all goes. I can only imagine because you’re always so great no matter what it is.
